  2. Environmental factors • There isn’t much sun in the taiga- not much variety in the plant life. • In the winter, the plants have to be able to survive in harsh, cold weather.

  3. 10 Plant Species(Plants with special descriptions or adaptations will be listed first) • Fir trees- Some release hormones that prevent the other trees from germinating. • Ferns- They release spores to reproduce. • Mosses- They don’t need much light to live. • Shrubs- They don’t need many resources at all to live. • Evergreens- They make up most of the taiga trees • Birches • Poplars • Aspens- They look like birches • hemlocks • spruces
