Qin Dynasty Exist • In 221 BC a new state formed and would became the Qin Dynasty • Its new emperor would call himself Shi Huangdi (shee hwahng-dee) • Shi was very strict but was also effect as a ruler • He also changed chinese politics greatly
Achievement • The emperor (Shi Huangdi) made laws for his people to follow and live by. • He also did set up a new money system • He created a uniforms system of writing that eliminated minor differences between regions. • A major achievement was the building of the Great Wall of China.
The Great Wall • The Great Wall of China was created by the Qin Dynasty • At the time, it was built to protect China from invasion making a Great Wall • Great Wall is a barrier that linked earlier walls that stood near China’s northern border.
The Mandate of Heaven • The Qin Dynasty claimed that they had been chosen by heaven to rule China. • They believed that no one could rule without heaven’s permission • This idea that heaven chose China’s ruler and gave him or her power was called the Mandate of Heaven
