ACORDE • Implement full survey misalignment • Step size not important because no energy loss is measured • Simulation to be checked • Raw data ok till next electronics changes • OCDB parameters now missing, but are needed (e.g. different gain factors in scintillators) • Reco Param to be implemented • Offline calibration – not needed • Trigger: need to store the info, to simulate CTP input, to be done • Time scale to complete everything: required by June 09 • Main problem for the detector: low efficiency (hardware problem) • QA: not done so far
CTP • Naming convention defined but still not in use in AliRoot; new meeting planned to discuss this • Configuration file correctly sent to DAQ logbook and retrieved by the GRP preprocessor • CTP inputs to be propagated to ESD/AOD? • Handling of the errors when writing xcounters file to be done • Xcounters needed for analysis? If yes, they should be treated properly • L2A counters information to DAQ logbook • Interaction record size to be carefully evaluated and limited, according to usefulness • Time between interaction and L0 could be provided with a precision of some bunch crossings (critical for TPC, for example) • Beam structure info from LHC still missing • Trigger preprocessor: task assignment to be defined
EMCAL • Geometry not 100% ready because detector not yet installed • Material budget not an issue because no detector on top of them • Time in digits is simulated in an optimistic way • Event merging done with sdigits that don’t reproduce the shape of the signal pile-up could cause overflow (???) • Track ref to be done • Embedding: Raw2Sdigits method to be implemented • Discrepancy between simulated data and real data (from test beam) not understood • Raw Data ok, not sure if L1trigger is there. To be modified when changes in the RCU will be implemented • Reco Params to be finalized • Reconstruction still needs some work also for PID • Calibration tasks not completed since no detector in place • Some notions about the trigger, but nothing done so far • QA for hits and ESDs, but much still to do
FMD • Geometry not finalized at all – physical issues involved to be resolved, related to ITS as well • Material Budget issue not investigated. Thought to be ok, anyway, but needs to be checked • Memory consumption not tested • Pileup could be tested • Event merging and embedding never taken into account • Raw data must be switched to the next ALTRO version • Second order offline calibration well underway • Nothing to be stored as far as the trigger is concerned • QA to be clarified
HMPID • Time of the hits to be stored both in hits and digits • Memory & CPU & time consumption not completely under control – the use of Minuit makes it delicate • Event merging and embedding ok • CsI QE map to be added to the OCDB • Reco Params to be implemented • QA: event species to be specified, reference data from real data to be produced
ITS • Some detailed description for the geometry still needed • Still some overlaps in case of misalignment • Step propagation to be changed (too small) according to changes in the track propagation code (curved tracks will be handled properly) • Time taken into account in the hits but not in the digits • Memory and CPU consumption almost under control • Event merging not tested • Event embedding tested some time ago by Andreas Morsch so merging should be ok • Raw data size could be reduced • GRP to be considered • No new objects foreseen for the OCDB, only one open issue for the RespSDD object about the Time0 • Reco Params implemented but to be checked • V0 still missing smth task to be given to V0 experts • PID performance to be studied
ITS – II • One SPD DA to be finalized • New DA for SDD • Problems with the memory for the online SDD QA • Checks to be added for Rec and Sim for SDD QA • Simulation of SPD trigger to be started, but main lines defined
MUON • Time in hits/digits to be fixed • MC labels to be propagated to reconstructed objects, but there for the rest • Embedding tested but not merging • OCDB gain data there, but not used • Reco Params: only one type at present stored • GRP under consideration • GMS DA still under test • Alignment procedures to be finalized • New object needed for offline calibration HV+Current of the MTR • QA: event species to be defined, not working properly
PHOS • Geometry to be changed in simulation • Material budget in front of PHOS to be evaluated • Idealistic pulse shape simulated in the raw data • Track references to be implemented • Event merging and embedding seem to work fine • Raw data not finalized – new RCU to be updated; TRU information to be added • Decalibration needs to be put back • Reco Parameters to be implemented • Not all the DAs ready (only 2 out of 4 completed) • No DPs • Offline calibration strategy to be defined – needs to run on ESDs or AODs as a Task • Trigger procedures have to be defined; in simulation the configuration parameters have to be added
PMD • Changes in the geometry (detector only ½ installed) • Survey to be redone • Time to be added in hits/sdigits/digits/reco info • Track ref to be implemented • Event merging ok, not embedding • Reco Params missing • New calib objects needed (hot channels + n. of events) • QA to be done
T0 • Track Ref to be stored • Event merging and embedding not considered • Raw Data format likely to change • Reco Params not needed, so not there • Maybe some new DPs • Trigger simulation needs to be done, no configuration parameters now set; should work with raw data • QA to be done
TOF • Event merging / embedding to be checked (*) • Time window value in simulation to be checked (*) • New parameter for Reco Param objects • Maybe new calib object for HV to be used in reco (now stored in Reference data) • Trigger parameters to be defined and implemented • QA reference histo to be provided for a more detailed check (by module?)
TPC • Small corrections in simulation of the geometry • Full misalignment to be checked • Missing LHC clock phase in simulation • Trigger time offset needed • Some track references to be added • Merging and embedding discussed only for the first time, still unclear • ALTRO trailer missing in Raw Data, and some configuration parameters to be added • RCU data format is going to be changed • New data member to be added in OCDB object • Reco Param obj to be checked and maybe updated
TPC – II • Shift in pT not yet investigated • PID studies to be finalized (dependence on tg(φ), tg(θ), PID at high pT, efficiency at relativistic rise) • Memory consumption to be checked • QA: event species to be implemented, no ref data. Output to be taken out of OCDB • Meeting about calibration issues foreseen
TRD • Geometry to be slightly improved for services and supports • Total weight to be kept under control • Full/survey misaligment is still under study • Time correctly handled in simulation • Embedding not checked (*) • Legacy code in Raw Data to be cleaned up • Raw data volume to be checked • Trigger procedures outlined but to be implemented • Trigger simulation to be finalized, but in very good shape • QA reference data still missing
