  5. Research-Based Best Practices • Mandatory assessment, advisement, and placement • Professional development • Adjunct faculty training

  6. Research-Based Best Practices • Formative evaluation • Learning-centered philosophy • Integration of classrooms and laboratories

  7. Research-Based Best Practices • Insuring consistency of exit and entry standards (a “seamless transition) • Monitoring and early intervention • Provision of comprehensive support services
