  1. Slide formatting. Include slide numbers. Include a footer that follows the electronic submission guidelines. When displaying data, include only relevant, significant figures.   2. Power titles. Use power titles which are titles that capture the essence of the substance of your slides. Just as you might use headings and subheadings in a report, let your titles show the logical flow and communicate the essence of your presentation. Executive Summary • Summary Conclusions • Summary Recommendations Start off with a one-slide overview of the value your presentation contains, including the essence of your conclusions and recommendations. • Substance value. Slides must clearly and completely illustrate the substance of the valued information being communicated. • Avoid having slides merely list topics to be discussed and expecting the audience to recall what was spoken. • Slides must convey the valuable substance of your presentation by presenting the appropriate information and necessary supporting evidence. Consider including a brief take-away at the bottom of slides. If your slide has presented important meaning, let the take-away answer the question: so what?
