  7. Round Characters • A round character has a complicated personality that includes both good qualities and bad qualities. The protagonist (main character) is generally a round character.

  8. Flat Characters • Flat characters are “one sided.” The reader only gets to know one dimension of their personality. Flat characters are usually minor characters.
