Different modes of communication • When communicating with the general public, you need to think about all situations that would inhibit someone from being able to understand the message you are trying to relay • Brainstorm a list of possible barriers that could occur when trying to communicate with someone Language barrier, color blindness, deafness What else?

Group Work • In your groups, brainstorm what you think would be the best means of communicating where there is an open parking spot Draw a sketch of a potential signal/means of communication your group could use to solve the Parking Lot Problem • Keep in mind: did your group consider all communication barriers while creating your potential product? Would anyone be able to find a spot using your signal?
