  2. Motivation • Treatment of phobia • Vivo exposure • VR • Augmented Reality(AR) • Superimpose virtual elements in real scene. • Less costly compares to VR. • Participants of treatment can see their own body.

  3. Creation of Immersive Photographs • For each position • Take 180° photograph • 360 ° photograph = 180 ° photograph + 180 ° transparent white image

  5. Experiment • Test the efficacy of immersive photography to induce sense of presence in user. • 41 participants (28 males and 13 females) • Without acrophobia. • Two environments • Real • Immersive photography: AR system with HMD.

  6. Results • SUS questionnaire after 7 minutes in an environment. • Six questions, scores between 1(not at all) to 7(very much)

  7. Conclusion • This paper presents an AR system that aims at treating acrophobia. • The SUS results shows that immersive photography provokes a high level of presence in users, although not as optimally as the real world.
