REPORT WRITING/OR,DR, AND 2823 • Domicile Entries (DEs) • minor infractions which require a greater degree of correction than a verbal on-the-spot correction • maintained in the inmate’s living area • Guards discretion whether a DE should be used in lieu of a Disciplinary Report
REPORT WRITING/OR,DR, AND 2823 • Observation Report • Used to report a significant event which may impact the operation or security of the facility • May be positive or negative reports about inmates, especially health and welfare of the inmates • Reports must contain as much information as possible about the incident • Forwarded to the Guard Commander
