  1. When one wants to go on vacation in Kerala, Trivandrum is the place to be. With the southern part of mainland India being its location, Thiruvananthapuram also known as Trivandrum is the capital city of Kerala. The city is in the district, Thiruvananthapuram, which is one of the fourteen districts of Kerala.   2. This exquisite city is built on hills that are near the sea shore. It is basically sandwiched between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. Because of all the deluxe hotels in Trivandrum and of course its exquisite beauty, it has been ranked the first in the number of foreign tourists holidaying in Kerala and is an awesome destination for vacationers. The city has a tropical climate so it makes Trivandrum travel ideal for tourists. The average maximum temperature goes up to 34°C while the average minimum temperature is only 21°C. Humidity is high especially during the monsoon season. The rainiest months are from May till August, and October, but there are also many showers in other months as well, specifically between the months of April and November. For holidaymakers who are to reside in the apartment hotels in Trivandrum, who are not fans of the rain, the best period to visit is from the month of December till March. The ideal time to visit this city is between October and February, which is particularly perfect for beach vacations. While there, it is a must that the tourists go and visit the padmanabha swamy temple which is known as one of the most sought out tourist attractions.

  3. For people who adore carnies, the Onam festival is a must visit. It happens towards the end of August or early September is the perfect time to indulge in the carnival atmosphere. These celebrations last for at least 10 days and usually include many cultural programs. June is when the Monsoon season starts and it is dominated by heavy rains. Just recently, due to the campaigning by the State Tourism Board, tourists have started visiting while staying at the numerous hotels in guruvayoor to enjoy the Monsoon.

  4. The language native to Kerala is Malayalam, which is in the Dravidian script like Tamil. Most locals who are educated are able to communicate in Hindi as well as English too. The locals are all very helpful as well as friendly. Though Tamil is generally understood, people may not show case too much fluency in the language. Trivandrum International Airport lands direct flights from countries that include the Middle East, Maldives, Singapore, Sri Lanka along with various seasonal charter flights to Europe. Also, it is linked with many other major cities in Indi through domestic flights. Other means of travel is the Trivandrum Central railway station which is located at Thampanoor. It is a major Indian railway station and is said to be the third largest in size in South India after the Chennai and Shornur jn.

  5. All trains on the west coast that are bound to Kerala begin and end their respective journeys at this station as it is a terminus. Also, it is very well serviced and connected by rail to all of the major cities in India, making reaching holiday homes in Trivandrum quite easy. The city is the first largest one that is along the second longest train route in all of India. Kochuveli Railway Station is also the nearest to the International Airport which is quite convenient for tourists. So embarking on a holiday in Kerala has now become quite easy for tourists everywhere because of all of the access points the city provides.
