Enhancing Traffic Information Systems in Nordic Cities: Challenges and Future Directions

This report highlights key findings regarding traffic information systems across Nordic cities such as Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, Stockholm, and Vienna. Technical systems, including outdated loudspeakers and signs, pose significant challenges. Field staff represent a valuable information source but often lack proper updates and training. Although recent improvements have been made, overall passenger satisfaction remains low. It discusses future initiatives to address these shortcomings, emphasizing a comprehensive process and enhanced organizational support to better meet the needs of travelers.
