Joint Base Legislation • The Base Realignment and Closure Commission 2005 legislation directed the DoD to realign 26 separate installations into 12 Joint Base installations • Specifically to our installation, the legislation “realigned Fort Dix NJ and Naval Engineering Station Lakehurst NJ, by relocating the installation management functions to McGuire AFB NJ, establishing Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst NJ”

Upgrade FTU Facility, Bldg 1928 • Project started: 15 Mar 08 (Design/Build Contract) • Cost: $2.06M • Completed: 27 Jul 09 • Project included new roof, brick face, exterior doors/windows, main and alternate entrances, bathrooms, auditorium, and various classrooms
