  3. Class Structure • Accompanies Information Assurance (cs498ia) • Divided into four parts • Endpoint security • Network security • Intrusion analysis and control • Security architecture CyberSecurity Spring 2005

  4. Topics Not Addressing • Cryptography – will be used in the other sections but not studied directly. CyberSecurity Spring 2005

Reading Materials • Required book from Information Assurance • Security in Computing, Pfleeger and Pfleeger • Supplemented with many papers and manuals • Other good security books • Computer Security: Art and Science, Bishop • Secure Coding: Principles and Practice, Graff and van Wyk CyberSecurity Spring 2005

  6. Course Evaluation • Lab exercises – 50% • Papers at the end of first three sections – 25% • Final project – 25% • Folks taking for graduate credit will have extra requirements for Lab exercises and papers CyberSecurity Spring 2005
