  1. Psalm 137 RESPONSE(Lent & General) Ps. 39:7 Psalm 137(Response) Now, O Lord,for what do I wait?For my hopeis in you alone.

  2. R 1By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down and wept, when we remembered Zion.

  3. 2On the willows there we hung up our lyres.

  4. 3For there our captors require of us songs, and our tormentors, mirth, saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”

  5. 4How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land?

  6. 5If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand wither!

  7. 6Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, if I do not remember you, if I do not set Jerusalem above my highest joy!

  8. 7O Lord, remember against the Edomites the day of Jerusalem, how they said, “Raze it, raze it! Down to its foundations!”

  9. 8O daughter of Babylon, you devastator! Happy shall they be who repay you, with what you have done to us!

  10. 9Happy shall they be who take your little ones and dash them against the rock!R
