  1. Shannon Hemstreet: Running a Family- Centric Business Family businesses are not only more successful, they are also much more prominent. In fact, family businesses are the backbone of our economy, explains Shilo Inns Chief Operating Officer, Shannon Hemstreet. While running a family business often goes without recognition, business schools are starting to shift their curriculum. No longer only for the Fortune 500 companies, have they now also included family businesses and what you need to be doing to be successful. It is a powerful change in the status quo, shares Shannon Hemstreet. There are two parts to leaving a legacy and it has to do with stewardship and being able to figure out your family values around money and how to do well in the world. The key to success in life is living a purposeful life and wrapping your life around your purpose, believes Shannon Hemstreet.
