  4. onboarding: What? • Two – three hours of new employee training • Restraint and Seclusion Training • Bloodborne Pathogens Training • Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Training • Slips, Trips and Falls Training • New Employee Paperwork

  5. onboarding: when • August: Daily • September: Three times weekly • October – July: Twice weekly

  6. onboarding: where • In Human Resources • A training room with access to a projector and required technology.

  7. onboarding: why?? • To educate and prepare new employees through required trainings. • To facilitate a smooth transition for new employees into a school or office setting. • The goal is to alleviate principals and hiring managers from providing initial training with staff at the building level. • Once a staff member is hired, their first day of employment is with HR.

  8. onboarding: how? • New employees are scheduled for a morning or afternoon session via email. • HR staff provide all required training. • New employees are able to ask questions and enter work locations ready to perform their jobs the next day.
