  2. The purpose of the DAIS SEALS Program is to align high school students with intermediate children who may be in need of extra support for many reasons related to home and/or school settings. The program meets once a week from 3:20-4:20pm at DAIS. High school mentors serve as positive role models helping intermediate school students to be successful through school work and recreational activities. The goal of the program is to help school performance, self-esteem and interpersonal skills. SEALS is run by Dallastown Area Intermediate School Counselors and funded by Dallastown Communities That Care. We currently have 20 DAIS students matched with high school students. The program runs from October 12th-April 18th, 2012 in the DAIS Library.

  12. The school counselors would like to extend our appreciation to the district and the bus company for allowing high school students to ride the bus to the Intermediate school. Most of our students ride the activity bus home after our program. Without this transportation many of our students would not have the opportunity to participate. Most importantly, we would like to thank DASD Communities That Care for supporting and funding this amazing program.
