  2. Fragments and Run-ons • RUN ON is a series of clauses (usually independent) strung together without proper punctuation (commas and semi-colons) or a conjuction • FRAGMENT: a dependent clause (has no subject and predicate!)

  3. DIRECTIONS • Each sentence is one of the following: FRAGMENT, RUNON, SIMPLE, COMPOUND, COMPLEX • When you are sure you can identify the type of sentence, raise your hand. More than two wrong and you are OUT =)

  4. GT and Honors • Throughout our days together, I realized that Max and Andre were the truest friends I ever had, despite our long and complicated childhood history.
