  3. Hopeless? • There are many fishermen = projects around • No fish on the site = € • Look deeper – water covers fish, reveal your possibilities • Be creative • Stay in frames of the law • Use all resources – people, trainings, web • If you believe that it is possible, jus figure out HOW

  4. You need some bait • Apply to local / national government • You probably get support to 50% of ideas • You probably get pennies instead of €€€ • This is your funding start – bait for a big fish

  6. Now go fishing • Local / regional projects • State the problem • Define target • Find recourses • Cross-border projects • Find similar needs • From whom could we learn • To whom could we support • Other counterparts

Fisherman’s know-how • Know where to fish – what funds are suitable for your project • Local • Regional • International • Know the season – make sure you know when to apply and start early • Don’t be a loner – find a fishing buddy • Look at the weather –monetary climate, other resources available

Fish only for what you can use • Don’t fish for oversized catch • Some funds give minimum you can apply for • Don’t ask for more than you can manage • Have smarts and respect to your fishing place • Let undersized cath go • Readdress while writing already – offer services • See, if and how the grant could serve orginal idea • Have plan B, reshape, adjust
