  3. Databases in Your System You’ve seen them, but are you using them? Should you be?

  4. Faculty Database • Faculty: What is it and why would we use it? Faculty View Admin View Faculty have access to many different menus Can add qualifiers They can also create placements for their students Have the ability to link students to a specific faculty member

  5. Faculty Database • Faculty: Reasons to use this database: • Help bring more students into your office • Use professional ties to bring in new employers • Allows Faculty Advisors easier access to student information • Offer guidance to current students

  6. Mentor Database • Mentor: What is it and why would we use it? Mentor View Mentors are able to see the same view of career events that students are, including the option to “Search Employers” Admin View

  7. Mentor Database • Mentor: Reasons to use this database: • Get students in touch with real professionals • Allow alumni to get involved • May lead to job postings, interviews or guest speakers • Build a bridge with your campus Alumni Office

  10. Activity Log • Accessing the Activity Log: • Go to Tools > Activity Log • Select which log you would like to generate!

  11. Activity Log • Types of Activity Logs III. Email Log I. Audit Log - Examples II. Delete Log 2. Choose which action you would like to track 1. Select the user(s) whose action you would like to see 3. Select the target of the action 4. Choose a date range 5. Click Retrieve Log

  12. Mass Email Templates • Useful for fast contact with students as a group or an individual All information in the body of the email will already be populated, complete with merge codes!

  15. Partnerships • Free options - Available to be turned on today! 1. MonsterCollege 2. CollegeRecruiter Career Ad Network (CAN): Appears on the student home page and the job search screen. It uses the students search history (based on keywords, location, industry etc.) to create a custom list of jobs from Monster College. Job Stream: Appears in the job search results for students. It uses the Industry (Employer Category) field to populate a list of national jobs that are targeted specially for students. College Recruiter: A list of articles that your students may find helpful during their job search

  16. Partnerships • Free options 3. Internships.com 4. CareerBuilder/CareerRookie Student will see “My Partners” in left navigation. If clicked on, Student will be logged right into their account in a new window. Job search results will show additional tabs that stream in postings. Student is prompted upon login to co-register

CareerSpots Resume Maker is a new, easy-to-use tool that will help your students create an eye catching résumé or cover letter and automatically upload it into their Interfase profile. Industry leader in job search videos. These short, relevant and high quality videos should help your students during their job hunt!

  18. Partnerships • CPP Assessments including MBTI and Strong • Key Features include: Admins have a new Assessments Pending bin! In this, they are able to View the Assessment Results, and Approve them for student view. Until the assessment is approved, a student will NOT be able to see their results. Students can access their assessments through a new menu item or under their “I Want To” section on the left navigation bar Admin has the ability to grant specific students access to each of the assessments

  19. Partnerships • Payment Options: • No Setup/Usage Fee! • Students pay online • Allows the office to determine the amount • OR • Office can pre-purchase a certain number of “tickets” for students
