  1. Year 6 Residential TripWednesday 28th to Friday 30th March 2012 • CaythorpeCourt near Grantham, Lincolnshire is a Grade II listed mansion house set in 50 acres of grounds. In addition to purpose built accommodation blocks there is a wide range of facilities including classrooms, sports hall, playing fields and a man-made lake. • PGL have invested more than £5 million to convert this Grade II listed mansion house into a fantastic PGL centre with an impressive range of activities.

  3. Travelling to PGL • Arrive at school by 9.00on Wednesday 28th March • Depart during the morning • Arrive at PGL about 12.00 – introduction, settle in, packed lunch, afternoon and evening activities

  4. Accommodation • Multi bedded rooms for pupils sleeping from 2 – 4 • En-suite toilet and shower facilities • Teachers located in the same block / floor • Children need to bring bedding with them

  5. Luggage • Two bags – one as hand luggage, one larger piece of luggage • Hand luggage to include packed lunch, drink not in glass container. • Larger luggage – case or sports bag for clothes etc. • Sleeping bag/ duvet and pillow • Make sure they help pack

  6. Medicine • Discuss prior to trip and fill in medicine form. • Clearly labeled with name and instructions (include travel sickness tablets) – Hand to MrBrown. • Inhailers clearly labeled with child’s name and school, make us aware but children will look after – put in hand luggage.

  7. What to take – (All in booklet!) • Washing kit, at least 2 towels, • Sleeping gear, • Numerous changes of underwear, • At least 2 thick jumpersor fleeces • At least 3 pairs of old trousers (not jeans, 1 for activities, 1 for • evenings), • Tracksuit (at least 2 pairs of tracksuit bottoms), • Shorts (in warm weather), • Sports/T-shirts (bring lots), • Thick and thin socks, (Some long) • At least 2 pairs of trainers (one specifically for ‘wet’ activities), • Anorak or waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers (only if you have • them), • Hat (for keeping warm or protecting from sun), • Blackbag-named (for wet / dirty clothes), • Swimwear

  8. What to take - Part 2 • Packed lunch for the Wednesday • Sweets(within reason !), book, pad/pencil or games book, magazine • Camera – disposable one ideal, we will have school camera • Drinks bottle – named water bottle – for water / juice • Spending money (optional) up to £5 maximum

  9. What NOT to take • Mobile phones • Handheld games consoles • iPods / MP3 players • Aerosols • Jewellery –can be dangerous or easily lost • Anything valuable

  10. Meals • 3 nutritious, balanced meals per day • Vegetarian option • Salad bar • Special diets catered for by prior arrangement • There is always plenty of fruit / salad and water or milk available for them.

  13. Travelling back • Leave after lunch on Friday • Aim to be back around 3.00 • Will contact via text to confirm time and allow collection before end of day with all luggage
