  2. What is TKT test? • TKT คือ การทดสอบความรู้ด้านการสอนภาษาอังกฤษให้แก่ผู้เรียนที่ไม่ได้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาแม่ (ESOL=English to Speakers of Other Languages)และเน้นความรู้ที่ครูสอนภาษาอังกฤษทุกคนจำเป็นต้องมี

  3. TKTเป็นการทดสอบที่ผู้สอบสามารถเข้าถึงได้ง่าย ซึ่งได้มีการเตรียม และนำไปใช้ในระดับมาตรฐานสากล TKTช่วยให้ครูค้นพบความรู้ด้านการสอนหลักๆ ที่จำเป็นสำหรับการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ ในห้องเรียน

  4. Who can take TKT? • TKT ครูผู้สอนภาษาอังกฤษทุกคนทุกระดับชั้นและผู้ที่ไม่เคยสอน แต่ต้องการประกอบอาชีพสอนภาษาอังกฤษ สามารถสมัครเข้ารับการทดสอบความรู้ด้านการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ ในเวลาใดหรือช่วงเวลาใดของการประกอบอาชีพได้ตามความต้องการตลอดเวลา

  5. ในการสมัครสอบ TKTผู้สอบจำเป็นต้องมีระดับความสามารถทางภาษาอังกฤษอย่างน้อยที่สุดคือIntermediatelevel of English ผู้สมัครควร มีความคิดรวบยอดขั้นพื้นฐาน (Basic Concept)

What are the contents of TKT test? • วิธีการสอนแบบต่างๆ(Different ways of teaching) • ภาษาที่ใช้ในการสอน (The language of teaching) • การใช้ทรัพยากร (How resource can be used) • องค์ประกอบสำคัญของแผนการสอน (Key elements of lesson planning) • การจัดการในชั้นเรียนที่มีผู้เรียนแตกต่างกัน (Classroom management methods for different needs)

  7. Modules • มี 3 ส่วน (3 Modules) • สามารถสอบรวมกันทีเดียว 3 ส่วน หรือจะแยกสอบแต่ละส่วนในลำดับใดก็ได้ตามช่วงระยะเวลาที่กำหนด • ในแต่ละส่วนมีข้อทดสอบ 80 ข้อ ใช้เวลา 80 นาที

  11. TKT Task Types • Task Type 1 Matching • Task Type 2 Multiple Choice • Task Type 3 Sequencing • Task Type 4 Odd One Out

  12. Grading and results Band1= limited knowledge of TKT content areas (Less than 20%) Band2= basic, but systematic knowledge of TKT content areas (around 20%) Band3= breadth and depth of knowledge of TKT content areas (around 50%) Band4= extensive knowledge of TKT content areas(around 85%)

  13. Revise all topic areas from the syllabus. Do some sample tasks for practice. Identify which kind of task you are working on. Read the instructions carefully. Make sure you understand how to complete the answer sheet. Time yourself carefully – divide your time up equally between the questions. Do’s for TKT Test

  14. Check your answers. • Shade the lozenges carefully. • Do learn all the terms in the glossary even though you may only be preparing for one module. • Make rough notes if you need to, but remember to mark your answers on the answer sheet.

  15. XDon’ts for TKT Test • Don't get nervous in the exam – just relax and do your best! • Don't leave any answers blank (make a guess if necessary). • Don't worry about your English. You are not tested on this. • Don't forget to mark your answers on the answer sheet correctly.
