What is provided? • Breakfast (Wed - Mississippi?) • Breakfast (Sun - Mississippi?) • Breakfast (Thu-Sat - at the Hotel) • Lunch/Dinner at the park (meal card) • Transportation, Tickets, Performances • Movies, Games, Books, Water, Snacks on the bus (and you can bring stuff, too!) • Luggage Tags, lanyards

  16. What to pack? • Weather appropriate clothing • Travel clothes • Good walking shoes • Whatever you need for the park - remember, there are metal detectors, guards, etc. • Nothing special for the performances • Money for souvenirs, extras

Pack efficiently Load the bus Stay with a group Stay in rooms of the same sex ONLY Be courteous and considerate of others Keep up with your own stuff Room checks - before, during, after & each night Bus Behavior Sit in a seat Listen to your own music - no speakers Bring movies (PG-13 or less) Be courteous and considerate of others Use the bathroom at rest stops (quickly) Students -- DOs

  23. Some thoughts for Sponsors None of this is intended to be insulting, but I’ve been on about 40 school trips…..

  24. Traveling as a group • Not the same as traveling with your family • Group needs to come first • Moving/Feeding/Performing/Dealing with 230 people - things can move quickly - you can be the reason they do

  25. Be early Have your kids be early Be early Have your kids be courteous Be early Be early Look for what our kids might need Bring large problems to the directors Get to know the kids - they’re pretty cool! BE EARLY!!!!! PLEASE
