  2. Case One • 69 year old female • C/O weakness, nausea, vomiting • No chest pain or pressure • History of high blood pressure, High cholesterol and diabetes • Some SOB

  3. Case 2 • 73 year old male • Weakness-getting worse • Breathing difficulties-with activities • Neurologically intact • Some confusion

  4. Case 3 • 60 Year old male • General Malaise with increasing weakness • No fever chills • SOB, cough and anxiety • Pale skin cool to touch • Headache • Joint stiffness

  5. Case 4 • 68 year old hypertensive, diabetic female • General weakness • Sudden onset of SOB • Chest pain • Nausea • Heart attack 2 years ago with stents

  6. Case 5 • 78 year diabetic hypertensive male • “Not feeling well” • Nausea and Vomiting • Weakness, dizziness • Unable to get out of bed • Released from hospital 2 weeks ago with urinary sepsis

  7. Case 6 • 68 year old female • Found on bathroom floor • C/O hip pain • Red spot on head noted • Last contact was 9 am found at 6pm • Pool of urine

Take home thoughts • Many symptoms begin or present with weakness, fatigue, N/V, sob and confusion. • Non classic presentation • Details become very important when looking at onset and symptoms. • Poor historians live with elderly significant other that tend to leave out portions of the history that really are pertinent • Differential dx- funnel like
