  4. Problem Statement Beginning drummers need a more visually effective way of learning how to play drums.

  5. Solution • Design an interactive drum practice pad that makes learning fun and easy through use of the following tools: • Display Screen • LED’s • Pre-programmed Rhythms • Accuracy Check

  14. Project Concerns • Product Sustainability • The system operates as designed for a reasonable amount of time. • Replaceable drumhead • Placement of transducer • Physical locale of transducer • Insulating foam around transducer • LEDs have a long average lifespan

  15. Project Concerns • Social • The Novisync introduces many children to music and the arts, which has been shown through a ten-year study, tracking more than 25,000 students, to increase test scores [2].

  16. Project Concerns • Music study can help kids understand advanced mathematical concepts. Music involves ratios, fractions, proportions, and thinking in space and time [2].
