  1. Wolves By Lindsay, Kasia, Shandon, and Tanasity

  2. Where do wolves live? • Wolves live in Canada, Asia, Italy, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe • Wolves live in the wilderness parts of Canada and Alaska. • Some live in forested areas • Some live in the tundra where there are no trees.

  3. How do wolves talk? • Wolves can talk to each other without making a sound. • When their ears are up and their teeth are showing, it is a warning to stay away. • When the pupils of its eyes become narrow slits and its ears are flattened against its head, the wolf is saying, “What’s going on here?”

  4. How do wolves live? • Wolf pups are born in a den underground. • Sometimes they use dens of other animals. • The wolf mother will dig her own den if she can’t find one that’s already made. • First, she digs a sloping, narrow tunnel as long as a car. • At the end of the tunnel, she digs a room only big enough for her and her babies.

  5. What do wolf pups do? • There could be up to 14 pups in a litter, but usually 6 or 7.
