    2. TRAKSIYON Traksiyon kelime anlami çekmedir. Kirigi nispeten hareketsiz hale getirmek, agriyi ve yumusak doku hasarini azaltmaktir. Bunun için yapilan islem cilt traksiyonudur (indirekt traksiyon). Genellikle kalça bölgesi kiriklarinda asil tedavi yapilana kadarki bir kaç gün boyunca kullanilir. Kiriklarin kademeli redüksiyonunun saglanmasi iskelet traksiyonu(direkt traksiyon) ile saglanir. Bunun içinde kiriga yakin bir bölgeden kemikten geçirilen bir Steinman çivisinin dista kalan uçlarina nal ve bunun ucuna agirlik baglanarak kullanilir.
