Goals and Objectives: • Engage clients where they are at • Offer harm reduction • One-on-one crisis support in the moment
Build relationships that foster trust and respect • Create a sense of community • Improve overall health and safety
Collaboration community supports and services • Strategize and provide ‘wrap around’ services • Develop a continuum of supports
Guiding Principles: • To value, embrace and utilize the authentic experiential knowledge and skills of men in the sex industry as a vehicle towards change • Project delivered with attention given to Ethics and Integrity
Set and respect healthy boundaries • Provide unconditional, non-judgmental support • Break down the ‘Us versus Them’ frontline service model
Evaluation/Next Steps: • First evaluation complete – 25 project recipients interviewed • Recommend increase in number of outreach workers – EYMP initiative • Expand outreach services
5 W’s increase in community partners and awareness • Create drop-in centre specific programming • Online outreach- Youth friendly website
