STEP 1 Open the LIBS-Data-Sample1.csv file
STEP 2 Find the Wavelength and Intensity columns
STEP 3 : Select data Highlight both columns Tip: Select the wavelength and intensity cells. With both still selected, click Ctrl-Shift-Down. The columns will be highlighted top to bottom. Then scroll back to the top.
STEP 4 : Chart Select Insert > Recommended Charts
STEP 5: Select chart type Select: XY (Scatter) with lines
STEP 7 Your chart should look something like this:
STEP 8 : Resize chart Select the chart and then Format Chart Area …
STEP 9: Resize chart so you can see it easily.We use: Height = 17 cm, Width = 29 cm
STEP 10: Format X axis Select the X axis and then Format Axis …
STEP 11: Set X axis values Change the Minand Max axis bounds and the Majorand Minor units as shown:
STEP 12: Format Y axis Select the Y axis and then Format Axis …
STEP 13: Set Y axis values Set the Minimum axis bounds to 0.All other values are left set to ‘Auto’.
STEP 14: Add titles Add a title for your chart and label each axis
STEP 15: Your finished chart should look like this.
STEP 16: Save your chart Be sure to save your chart as an Excel format (.xlxs or .xls) not a .csv or you will loose your chart!
