What are factors?. Factors are numbers that divide EXACTLY into other numbers without a remainder. Can you think of the factors for 12? What numbers divide exactly into 12?. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12. Can you think of the factors for 10? What numbers divide exactly into 10?. 1, 2, 5 and 10.
