  1. Leverage Geofencing in Push Notifications to Take Your Campaigns to Next Level Banking As soon as your user visits a relatively new area—be it a new country or a city or any local area for that matter, notify them of their ATM locations. If a user has spent some time in the bank, they may also be sent a notification to leave their feedback of their experience and that feedback can then later be used to enhance customer delight. Fencing can also help bank customers to be notified of the opening hours of the bank if they visit during the off hours. By gathering information on the customers’ preferred shopping areas, banks can create geofences around them and may send payment offers based on their tie ups with those stores. Retail There are multiple ways you can use geofencing to boost your retail business. Retailers can use it to create a geofence around their brick and mortar store so that users passing by can be notified of ongoing sale, or can be lured in with promotional offers or discount coupons. In the case the shop has remained shut on any day for whatever reasons, users visiting the store can be passed on an apology notification and maybe along with the promise of a tempting offering on their next visit to compensate for that

  2. day’s unavailability. Also, when the users are inside the shop and have spent some time, they can be notified of any interesting scheme such as dress of the day or suit of the day to bring their interest onto any particular section. Healthcare Set a perimeter around your health facility and when your user walks in to book an appointment for, let’s say, eye checkup, send them a notification about a seminar on healthy eyes. Or offer a promotional discount on their future appointments. Or if they are waiting in the queue for their appointment, notify them of a way to jump the queue with an upgrade. Or, again, when they are waiting in the queue, suggest them to visit the cafeteria or, better, offer them a discount on organic or healthy items. Let’s say a patient is recovering in the health care and attempts to step outside the fenced area, warn them they are going out of the perimeter and should really come back. Travel While the customers are at the airport and busy with all the security check up and formalities, send them a push notification that they can show to cabin crew to purchase items at a discounted price. Or send them a message to get an upgrade at a nominal price. Or simply send them a notification to send their feedback on the support they received from the staff. Upon arrival, guide them out and thank them for choosing you as flying partner for enhanced loyalty. Or, upon arrival just gift them a discount coupon to book another flight on any other trip.
