International Workshop on Key Material Properties for MYRRHA and ASTRID, Rome 2012
Join us for the International Workshop on "Key Material Properties for MYRRHA and ASTRID" at the ENEA Headquarters in Rome from March 7-9, 2012. This workshop, part of the MATTER Project, aims to discuss critical material properties necessary for the design of GEN IV nuclear reactors, particularly in relation to compatibility with liquid metal, mechanical properties, and fabrication considerations. Submit a short abstract (max 400 words) by February 17, 2012, including all author details to marco.utili@enea.it. Visit www.matterfp7.it for more information.

International Workshop on the “Key material properties for Myrrha and Astrid” ENEA Headquarters, Lungotevere Thaon di Revel, 76, Rome March 7-9th, 2012 Call for Papers • A short abstract (max 400 words) is requested for presentations. • The abstract, clearly indicating: • name, affiliation, address, phone and fax number of all the authors; • e-mail address of the reference author; • c) track number; • has to be sent to: • marco.utili@enea.it • Abstracts due: • February 17th, 2012 In ESNII strategy toward GEN IV demonstrators specific attention is, then, given to the development of structural materials and innovative fuels which are needed to sustain high fast neutron fluxes and high temperatures, as well as to comply with innovative reactor coolants. In this frame, MATTER - “ MATerialsTEsting and Rules “ Project intends to perform research studies on the materials behavior in GEN IV operational conditions and to find out criteria for the correct use of these materials in reactor applications. Link: www.matterfp7.it • The International Workshop on the “Key material properties for MYRRHA and ASTRID” is organized in the frame of MATTER Project, with the aim of outlining the most relevant key material properties for both ASTRID and MYRRHA design, in terms of: • Compatibility with liquid metal; • Mechanical Properties; • Fabrication and weldings; • General needs for design and construction of ESNII reactors.
