Advantages of Membership in the Patent Documentation Group • The PDG is a highly respected and dedicated industrial association committed to the advancement of Intellectual Property Information • The group supports and encourages the information providers and in particular patent information providers to develop new products and to improve their existing systems and services • The PDG Members meet regularly with information providers and patent offices to initiate, discuss and advice on strategic issues • The PDG works closely with the EPO and the national patent offices and has an observer status at the (World Intellectual Property Organization) WIPO • PDG Membership provides the opportunity for exchange of knowledge, experience and ideas for those working in the information industry

Advantages of Membership in the Patent Documentation Group • Member organizations stem from a wide range of technology areas and are often amongst the leaders in their fields, conducting extensive R&D work • Member organizations are actively using patent information and possess a large patent portfolio • PDG Members benefit from participation in the activities of the PDG’s Working Groups such as the Online or the IMPACT Working Groups or by attending the PDG’s Annual Members’ Conference • The PDG is represented in a wide range of publishers’ and other important advisory boards relating to patent information, including major conferences • The PDG liaises closely with other industrial information user groups such as CEPIUG, P-D-R, PIUG, WON etc.

Conditions for PDG Membership • Corporate membership only (not individuals) • Members are expected to participate actively in the work of the PDG • Decisions on acceptance of application for PDG membership is made by existing PDG Main Delegates • Moderate annual fee for corporate membership currently €1500 • Further information on membership conditions/procedure can be obtained on contacting the PDG Secretary General (alexander.mullen@p-d-g.info)
