  2. 802.16m Closing Report • Plan for the week: • Resolve Frame Structure Comments on 118 r1, create 118r2 and vote on draft text for SDD • Completed: C802.16m-08/118r4 created and adopted for insertion into SDD update (802.16m-08/003r1) as initial Frame Structure text • Review Relay Ad Hoc report in Joint Session with TGj • Completed: Relay Ad Hoc Report was discussed during Joint Session with TGj on Tuesday. Relay Ad Hoc was reauthorized and tasked to return to session #55 with (if possible): • Any new specific use cases that might have been added by IMT-Advanced or not already addressed by 802.16j • Very clear definitions of terms • Proposed network topology • TGm/TGj “interoperabilty matrix” • M Relay Feature list • Resolve Comments on SDD • Completed: Comment resolutions included in comment database C802.16m-08/009r2 and editor authorized to issue an updated SDD (802.16m-08/003r1) based on those comments IEEE 802.16m-08/013r2

  3. 802.16m Closing Report • Review Uplink Access Report and decide on approach • Completed: UL Access report reviewed and vote held to adopt OFDMA as THE mandatory UL access for 802.16m (SC- FDMA is not precluded) • Review contributions from SDD Call for Contributions and appoint Rapporteurs to initiate draft text activities • Completed: All SDD contributions were presented and reviewed and two new downlink Rapporteur groups were created (DL control and DL PHY structure) to develop initial SDD text (IEEE 802.16m-08/015) • ITU-R IMT–Advanced activities and SDD development plan were discussed and a proposed way forward was presented (C-802.16m-08/256r2. Development Plan to be updated after next ITU-R meeting. • New Call for SDD comments and Contributions for next session was proposed, discussed, and has been issued as IEEE 802.16m-08/016r1 IEEE 802.16m-08/013r2
