  3. Academic Probation • Cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.) less than 2.00 • After attempting 12 or more units • Dismissal/GPA less than 2.00 in 3 consecutive semesters • Affects your Financial Aid

  4. Progress Probation • 50% or more of all classes not completed after attempting 12 or more units • Includes W, I, and/or NP • Dismissal-Exceeds 50% for 3 consecutive semesters 1/2

  5. Grade Point Average (GPA) • GPA = Total Grade Points divided by Units GPA • 33 divided by 13= 2.54 GPA

  11. Transcripts From Other Institutions If you attended another college, you need to clean up those transcripts for SAC graduation and transfer purposes. This could come back and affect your transfer admissions acceptance and SAC graduation.

Withdraw Date Deadline for Spring 2014 Semester IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER • Last date to drop semester-length classes with a “W” grade is May 11, 2014. • Always check your web advisor class schedule for specific dates to receive a “W” grade for 12-week and 8-week courses. • Communicate with your instructors prior to the withdrawal date by checking on your grade status.

  13. In Conclusion • Review your transcripts • List possible Fall semester classes on the back of your transcript. • Include classes with poor grades as possible repeats for Fall. • Limit number of units you would like to take in Fall. • Meet with a counselor to sign-out of the workshop.
