  2. RAI-AP-08/2004 • Having caught 28106 specimens, 25 were sea turtles, 3 were sea mammals and another 3 were sea birds. This ByCatch suppose 0,1% of the whole specimens caught by two Spanish longliners during 2005 in Soutwest Indian Ocean.

  3. RAI-AP-08/2004 • Data collected are totally insufficient to get any conclusions. However, there is an important detail which is worthwhile to be taken into account: most of sea turtles (19) were caught owing to one of the parts of their body, mainly front tips, were hooked o had any kind of tangle with long line. Only the caught of four of them has to be directly related to the bite of hook.
