Purpose and Need • Improve accessibility to the EPG site • Relieve traffic congestion in the area transportation network surrounding the site • Provide adequate capacity for the proposed 8,500 employees to access and exit the EPG site during the peak periods • Accommodate forecasted future growth in area traffic • Alleviate queues that result from the weaving sections between back-to-back ramps and minimize back-ups onto both I-95 and the Parkway • Improve operations at the I-95 / Fairfax County Parkway interchange and on the Parkway itself (which would serve as a primary entrance route to the EPG)
