  2. What is a conjunction? • A conjunction is a sentence joiner.

  3. FANBOYS review • The FANBOYS words are coordinatingconjunctions. • We can use them to combine two complete sentences.

  4. FANBOYS REVIEW • These conjunctions give roughly equal weight to each part of the new, combined sentence.

  5. Subordinating conjunctions • A subordinating conjunction is used to introduce a subordinate clause.

  6. Subordinating conjunctions • Using a subordinating conjunction to begin a phrase will make a reader want more information to complete the thought.

  11. As soon as you copy these conjunctions, compose six sentences. Three (3) must use the subordinating conjunction at the beginning of the sentences. Three (3) must use the subordinating conjunction in the middle/end of the sentence.
