HOW IS 5G DIFFERENT? The earlier 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G were the generations of network connections. 1G means the first generation which delivered analog voice. After that, 2G was the second generation that introduced digital voice. Then came the 3G which was the third generation that brought the mobile data.
