Rest the knee as much as possible in order to avoid putting weight on the knee Put ice on your knee and keep it there for about 20-30 minutes in order to reduce pain and swelling Compress your knee to give it extra support. For this, you can use elastic bandage, sleeves or straps Elevate your knee on a pillow each time you sit or lie down Practice stretching and strengthening exercises, especially before running Take anti-inflammatory painkillers, but only under medical prescription

  9. Although pain is usually caused by running, you can still run safely as long as you take care and follow some indications. It is always important to wear the appropriate shoes when running, in order to avoid certain issues. Stretching and strengthening is also recommended before running, as it prepares your body and especially your feet for the effort that they will face during running.
