  1. 5 Mistakes to Avoid While Filling Out Your Kid's Preschool Admission Form While filling out an application form, there are chances that some mistakes are made. But when these mistakes are overlooked, they can cost you something important. While parents want their children to attend the best schools possible, minor errors like missed details or spelling mistakes can cause a hindrance. However, there are ways you can avoid making these mistakes. Here is a checklist to get you started: ●Non-Adherence To Deadlines The admission committees at all schools have to process thousands of applications, so they set a deadline for parents to send in their applications. If you miss such a deadline without informing the committee in advance of any issue you might be facing; they may receive the wrong idea. All understand unforeseen circumstances and giving the committee a prior notice of your delay can help you when they do receive your school admission process. ●Unproofed Application Having grammatical or spelling mistakes in your child's preschool admission form can make the application look lazy and haphazard. This is why you need to proofread your application before you submit it. You can also take help from an academic counsellor to help you make your application look more professional. ●Left-out Details Whatever information you provide the school's admissions department is taken into consideration and assessed differently. Details like your socio-economic background, if your child has any disability, or a minority status need to be included in your application. These details can prove vital in securing your child's admission. ●Impractical Parent Statements As a parent, you may find it difficult to resist the temptation of wanting to paint your child's image in the best light possible as a part of the formal essays required as a part of the application. However, it is more critical for you to show rather than tell. Channel this impulse in you to talk about your child productively. You can include anecdotes that depict what your child is like. It would be like a short video clip is being played in front of the admissions department. This will help your child's admission much more than just reciting concluder praises.

  2. ●Incomplete Documents Studies have revealed that more than 80% of admission applications end up getting rejected due to incomplete documentation. Ensure that you do not send the application without checking for all necessary documents that are needed. Ensure that you go through the instructions carefully and note all the required documents that the school will require. This would include your child's birth certificate, medical certificate, residential proofs and recent photographs. There might be more documents required, differing from school to school. ●Last-Minute Filing Last-minute filing of your application can lead to a lot of errors. You make errors when writing the application, or maybe you forget to include an important document or even ignore the deadline date and time. It can result in your application getting rejected. To prevent all this from happening, start preparing your applications months in advance. This will get you the time to get everything for the submission and review your application multiple times to ensure no errors. There is no telling when a mistake happens. What you can do, though, is be mindful of the application process and go through the application carefully. The process can seem long and tedious, but starting ahead can help you stay ahead and prepared for anything that comes up. Consider taking professional help if you are in doubt. Once rookie mistakes like the ones described above are avoided, your child will be on their way to preschool in no time!
