  1. The face of BJP in Chhattisgarh state is none other than Brijmophan Agrawalwho has valiantly worked for the masses and downtrodden in the state. He is modest and has love and affection for the people of Chhattisgarh. He has been active in the BJP political party since 1984 which spans over more than three decades. During this period hehas done so many welfare works for the lower class people. He moved with the downtrodden people directly and very closely beyond political diplomacy. This has enabled him to understand their problems well and has also made him familiar among the people of Chhattisgarh. He is very loyal, determined and dedicated to his work, which has made him the people to call him fondly “Mohan Bhaiya”. All thesehavemadehimnotonlyaleadingpoliticianinthestatebutalso helpedBJPtowinintheelectionsconsecutivelyforfourtimes.

His social activities involve raising of fund for the development of the state, for the education of the underprivileged children, he helped in the marriage of poor girls, distributed tricycles for the disabled, decreasedthedifferencebetweenupperclassandmiddleclass,etc.All hisworkhascontributedtothedevelopmentoftheerstwhileMadhya PradeshaswellasforthepresentdayChhattisgarh.Whoevercameto him with a problem went back with the solution and peace of mind. He has a very good leadership qualities and also good in administration. He was made the cabinet minister for various departments and he has come out successful. It is to be noted that he is the only person to have headed the office of several departmentsin Chhattisgarh. Born on 1 May, 1959 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh was well educated and married to Mrs Sarita Agrawal. They both have children – Abhishek, ShubhkritiandAditya.Itistobenotedthathisfamilyalsoparticipates inseveralsocialwelfareactivitiesandfamiliaramongthepeopleeven thoughtheyarenotinthepolitics.

  3. Recently, brijmohan agrawal wifewas dragged into a land scam controversy by the opposition party. It is said that the land was procured by Mrs Sarita Agrawal from a farmer named Vishnu Ram Sahu in the year 2009. Now the same has been questioned by the opposition party. According to records, this land was donated by the farmer in the year 1994 to the erstwhile Madhya Pradesh Water Resources Department. When Chhattisgarh was found, this land has come under the forest department of the state. It is alleged that the samelandwaspurchasedbyBrijmohanAgrawalforhiswifeusinghis powers as Cabinet Minister of Water Resources Department. This issue has been raised by the Lalit Chandranahu a member of Kisan Mazdoor Sangh in March 2015. He had made a written allegation to the collector asking him to intervene in this issue. Chief Minister RamanSinghalsomadehisChiefSecretarytolookintothematterand to give the accurate report on this issue. However, nothing has come againsthimsofar.Notonlyhiswifebutalsobrijmohanagrawalson was made a victim in the land scam case as his company is carrying outtheresortconstructionworkinthesaidland.

Brijmohan Agrawal has said that the land was procured by his wife aftercompletingallthenecessaryformalitiesandalsopaidthefarmer thecostoftheland.Hesaysthatitistheworkoftheoppositionparty to bring a negative image of him and of the BJP. He said that the opposition has not spared his family members who are not inpolitics and have made them victim of this allegations. He is also ready to returnthelandifanyprobefindshimguilty. Going by history, it is to be noted that he is an honest person and all theselandscamarenothingbuttodiminishhisreputationandthatof BJP in the state so that the opposition can win in the upcoming assemblyelections.
