Gaining Insight Through Internship: Shadowing an Occupational Therapist at Phoenixville Hospital

During my internship at Phoenixville Hospital, I had the opportunity to shadow an Occupational Therapist (OT) to better understand the field and determine if it is the right career path for me. I engaged in various activities such as assisting with patient billing reports, observing manual muscle testing, explaining treatment purposes, and directly interacting with patients. This experience allowed me to learn valuable skills like taking blood pressure and reading O2 levels, all while working in a compassionate environment dedicated to excellent patient care.
