Selection Criteria to Help Screen Ideas/Concepts The following criteria will help judges assess and screen the best innovation ideas during the quarterfinals, semifinals and grand finale. All three criteria have the same weight and importance. • Strategic or brand potential 33% • Does this idea/concept fit Transcontinental’s strategy? • Will the idea bring value to our existing and future customers? • Will the idea allow us to differentiate ourselves from competitors? • Feasibility/ease of execution 33% • Is the implementation of the idea feasible within a reasonable timeframe? • Do we have the required competencies, capabilities, resources or partners to develop the idea? • Is the level of complexity or risk acceptable? • Financial potential 33% • Is the revenue potential interesting for us? • Are the implementation costs of the idea realistic for our organization? • Can the idea generate good profit margins (or margin improvement) within a reasonable timeframe? The scoring will range from 1 (weak/low confidence level) to 5 (strong/high confidence level) for a maximum of 45 points per idea. v20131010
