  4. What Would Make You Want To Move? • Some people leave because they want more independence • Others find that they have unacceptable circumstances at home. • What would be your reason for wanting to move out?

  6. Issues That Can Come Up • When thinking about moving out there are a number of things that should be considered. • What would be at the top of your list? • In your books list 3 things that you might take into consideration before thinking about moving out.

  8. When Can I Leave Home? • In NSW there is no law setting an age at which a person can leave home • If you have a safe place to go & you can support yourself financially normally you can leave home at 16 years of age.

Renting Activity • Access www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au • Go to publications • Click on Property & tenancy • Select renting guide • Explain in 2 or 3 sentences the role of the Consumer Trader & Tenancy Tribunal • If the landlord gives you notice of an increase in your rent, what 2 actions could you take? • Explain what is meant by a tenants right to privacy • When is the landlord or agent allowed to enter the rental premises?
