  3. Wake up, lazy bones! • It’s almost seven o’clock in the morning: Ciccio is still sleeping…but...

  4. What’s the time? • It’s time to wake up, you have to go to school! • Now, come and have breakfast, Ciccio... It’s seven o’clock in the morning!

  10. What time is it? It’s a quarter to eight. Hurryup, Ciccio, you are so late... You spent half an hour eating!!! Now, choose your clothes for your first day in your English school in London!

  11. What time is it? It’s eight o’clock. London has got so many beautiful places to visit…I’ve got a better idea…I’ll take the tube and I’ll go to... Are you ready, Ciccio? Your bus is at ten past eight! Bye,bye and…Have a nice day!

  12. A typical English breakfast • Toast, butter and marmelade or jam. • Milk or white coffee and cereals. • Fruit juice, scones and biscuits…But also… • Sausages, bacon and eggs!

  13. British traditions The traditional “British Breakfast” is milk with cereals, then bacon and eggs , sausages and tomatoes and finally toast with marmelade or jam. These days, people don’t always have the time to eat all of that , so they usually have just cereals with milk and toast. And, of course, a large mug of tea or coffee - usually with milk.

  14. The British usually have lunch between 12 (noon) and 1 p.m. Lunch is not a big meal in Britain. Many children have lunch at school; many adults eat lunch at work. The British eat their evening meal at any time from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. They call it “supper” or “dinner”. There is often a pudding or cake with this meal - and tea or coffee. Do you find any differences between Britain and Italy? Discuss with your class.
