  3. Changing factors Biodiversity is the assortment, or variety, of living things in an ecosystem A keystone species is a species that has an unusually large effect on its ecosystem. Ex. Beavers When they build dams they change the flow of water, create an ecosystem used by a variety of species, and increase overall diversity
