The University Development Grants (UDGs) training program, led by Prof. L.L. Ratnayake, Director of the IRQUE Project, aims to enhance skills in proposal writing for university stakeholders. Participants will learn about the eligibility requirements, project components, and eligible activities under the HETC initiative, focusing on improving employability and educational quality, addressing student unrest, and promoting ethnic cohesion. The training will guide universities in developing their Corporate Plans and Action Plans for effective participation in UDG initiatives.

ELIGIBILITY • Should have Updated University/Institution Corporate Plan covering HETC Project Period (2010-2015) • Updated University/Institution Corporate Plan should be complemented with Action Plans • to improve the employability of graduates, especially in areas such as Arts, Social Sciences, Humanities, Management & General Sciences • to improve the quality of External Degree Programs (EDPs), where applicable • to rebuild social capital in universities & promote ethnic cohesion among students & staff • to address student unrest issues • Should have submitted the SER for the Institutional Review • by June 2010
