Follow these rules for electronics and uniforms: no phones, music, earphones, computer games at school. Consequences for using proxy servers. Uniform requirements for pants, skirts, and shirts. Language guidelines against bullying and discrimination.
E N D
Electronics • No Phones! From the time you enter school grounds until you leave school grounds. • Phones must be turned off and stored.
No Music! • From the time you enter the school grounds until you leave school grounds. • ANYTHING that plays music must be turned off and stored all day.
No Earphones of Any Kind • Big ones, little ones, medium ones…. NONE. • Not in your ears. • Not around your neck. • Not to be seen. • * IF a teacher allows you to listen to music in their class or X Block, you may do so ONLY in that classroom or X Block.
No Computer Games At School • At all. Ever. • Not on your personal laptop. • Not on HTLA’s laptop. • Not anywhere. • Ever.
Consequences • Electronic or headphones device taken. • A parent may pick it up the FOLLOWING DAY. • If it is taken on a Friday, a parent may pick it up Monday.
Uniform • From the time you enter the school grounds until you leave the school grounds. • For X Block: You may change into your X Block clothes 10 minutes before X Block. • You must change back into your uniform before the next class period.
Pants and Skirts • Khaki colored pants of skirts. • Skirts must be loose enough to walk in and long enough not to be a distraction.
Shirts • Polo Shirts: • Blue (light or dark) • Black • White • SOLID COLOR
Out of Uniform? • Can’t go to class! • Call parent to bring clothes. • Parent can’t come? “In house” suspension. No classes, nutrition and lunch in another room. • Automatic Saturday Detention.
Jackets and sweaters • Navy blue, light blue, black, white or brown. • SOLID colors (No stipes, polka dots, or any other pattern.
Hoodies • ONLY HTLA hoodies • EVEN DURING X BLOCK • Even before school, at nutrition, at lunch
Language! • We do NOT bully here. • We do NOT use the “N” word. • We do not make homophobic remarks. • We do not make bigoted statements about racial, ethnic, religious groups. • We do not talk in a way that we would not talk in front of our grandmother.
It does not matter if you “Didn’t mean it like that” • It does not matter if “Nobody was offended”
Unless otherwise specified that the rules are suspended, assume that they are in effect
