  1. How Far Would You Run For a Doughnut By Samara Nait 6D

  2. How does someone work out the number of calories they burn when running? • They have to find out how much you weigh and the kilometers you run. • They work it out by multiplying the kilometers by the kilograms then times 1.036.

  3. How far would they have to run to burn the calories that are in a doughnut? It depends on what doughnut you eat. • For example you eat an original glazed doughnut from KrispyKreme which is 200 calories, and your client weighs 100 kilograms, then your client would need to run about 2 km to burn off the calories of that donut. • I worked this out by multiplying the number of kilometers by the weight of my client by 1.036. 2 km is slightly farther then what is needed, so my client will burn an additional 7.2 calories, which would do her some good.

  4. How are knowing how to do arithmetic with decimals help you to make good heath decisions? • Knowing how to do arithmetic with decimals helps me make good health decisions because my calculations will be that much more accurate. I will know precisely how much I need to do or not eat in order to make good choices. • Also, I didn’t realize that 200 calories was a lot. I thought it really wasn’t much. But when I saw that a 100 kg person had to run 2 kg to work that off, I was surprised. That is nearly two full circles around my compound and that isn’t a short distance. Knowing decimals helps me to keep things accurate.

  5. Witch part ( or Parts ) of the learner profile did you develop during this unit? • I developed being knowledgeable because I know how long it takes for some on to loose 1 little doughnut and that encouraged me to think more about what I eat. • I also know how to find out how much calories I burned by just multiplying the kilometers x the kilograms x 1.036. • Through my research I found lots of websites that show you how many calories there are in foods we eat everyday.

  6. Example’s • Yara: Wight (42) times Distance (8.7) times 1.036 = 392.182358. • Tala : Wight (38.7) times Distance (0.4) times 1.036 = 16.03728 • Lennah : Wight (51) times Distance (9.2) times 1.036 = 486.0912 • Idrees : Wight (21) times Distance (5.1) times 1.036 = 110.9556
